TradeHelp was established in 2014 to champion small to medium sized businesses and help them compete in the marketplace.

Having grown his own family heating business TradeHelp’s Managing Director and founder, Martin Jones, experienced the challenges faced by all up and coming trades companies.

He also experienced the benefits available to those with a much greater buying power and saw an opportunity to channel his knowledge and experience.

Over the past 7 years TradeHelp have delivered significant improvements to our customers’ businesses through partnerships, innovation and integrity in the heating, electrical and construction sector; now with a total of over £60 million of purchases undertaken by our members per annum.

Our free Network supports tradespeople with free software on desktop and mobile devices, a free Buying Group working with 25 leading manufacturer and merchant partners and the ability to provide finance options to customers.

The history of TradeHelp

Martin gained his experience as Managing Director of the family company, PH Jones

When Martin joined PH Jones in 1991, the company operated from a portacabin in the garden of the family home, employing 10 members of staff and delivering sales of less than £0.5 million per annum. Initially it focussed on able to pay customers before diversifying into social housing, gas and water utility metering, home emergency services and facilities management.  Before its sale in 2011, the company had grown to 30 offices UK-wide, 1200 employees and sales in excess of £90 million per annum.

With total purchasing of over £30 million per annum, a sophisticated team of procurement professionals was built to drive added value out of supply chain relationships.

TradeHelp now boasts over 50% of that procurement team, as well as legal and commercial support at Director level. Using market intelligence, process streamlining and technology, TradeHelp leverages savings on behalf of its members with an aggregate spend of £60 million per annum and growing.
